Solsort Studios
Solsort Studios is a creative and multifunctional music space in Silkeborg – created as an open and safe environment for music, collaboration, and artistic development.
We offer professional recording services for both singer-songwriters and bands, as well as productions tailored to each specific project. The studio is built to modern professional standards and equipped with high-quality instruments, microphones, and a professional recording setup, providing an ideal environment for recording, production, and experimentation.
No matter where you are in your musical career, you are welcome to contact us. We can see a project through from start to finish—from initial ideas and songwriting to recording, production, editing, mixing, and mastering. This allows us to be involved throughout the entire process and help turn your ideas into reality.
For bands, we also offer guided rehearsals and live productions using a professional in-ear setup. This enables focused and efficient rehearsals with studio-quality sound.
Solsort Studios must be a safe space for young musicians, but also a professional space for artists at all levels. A place where you can try new things, collaborate with others, and take the next step with your music.

Solsort Education
Solsort Education is built on the idea that music education should be creative, personal, and community-oriented.
Instruction is tailored to the individual student’s needs, proficiency level, and musical interests—regardless of age or experience. We place particular emphasis on playing together, musicality, and discovering the joy of creating and playing music.
For us, instruction is closely linked to real studio experiences. We believe it is exciting—right from the start—to experience what it feels like to have your guitar, piano, drum kit, voice, or other instrument recorded in a professional studio environment.
That is why we actively use the studio as part of the teaching. Students have the opportunity not only to learn to play but also to hear their own instruments and music in a completely different way. Together, we can work on an idea, record it, and experience how it evolves from the initial notes into a finished production.
Singing together, playing in a group, and musicality play a central role in our teaching. We aim to create a safe environment where students can learn at their own pace, experiment, and have fun with music.

The idea behind Solsort8600
Solsort 8600 was founded by two friends with years of international experience and an extensive network in the music industry. The idea was to bring some of that experience and those contacts to Silkeborg and pass them on to young musicians.
We have created a multifunctional music room where music production experience meets quality equipment and an open, relaxed atmosphere. It is a space for generating ideas, experimenting, making mistakes, starting over, and discovering what works.
For us, music isn't just about the finished result. It’s just as much about collaboration, exchange, and experiments. Solsort 8600 must be a safe and inclusive space – a safe space for musicians, where you can be yourself and develop your ideas without fear of being judged.
We want to create a place where musicians, producers, and other creatives can meet, learn from each other, and collaborate on new projects.
Solsort 8600 consists of two parts: Solsort Studios og Solsort Education – two areas that are closely linked and offer the opportunity to learn, create, and work with music.
